Just before the lights go green on the grid, Formula 1 has announced it will be launching an updated version of its F1 TV OTT subscription video platform, F1 TV Pro, for the 2021 FIA Formula 1 World Championship, with new and improved features made available to more fans on more platforms.
The new version represents the biggest update to the F1 TV Pro platform since launch in 2018. Developed with Accenture’s Industry X group, utilising its connected product expertise, the Accenture Video Solution and AWS Products & Services. The update focuses on performance and quality, featuring an enhanced underlying platform, higher video quality and improved user experience.

GENEVA: Global players are gathering online from Monday to brainstorm ways to rapidly boost vaccine production and fight a still-virulent coronavirus that has hobbled the world for 14 months.
Giving impetus to the meeting is a warning from the Geneva-based World Health Organization (WHO) that the pandemic will not end unless poor countries can keep up with accelerating mass vaccination campaigns in rich nations.
Meeting online on Monday and Tuesday will be partners of the Covax vaccine distribution initiative, led by the Gavi vaccine alliance and backed by research arm the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations as well as the WHO.
Technology is by far the most important overall factor for cutting carbon emissions, embracing both aircraft and engine technology and sustainable aviation fuels.
Aircraft/engine technology: upcoming aircraft and future aircraft
Aircraft/engine technology improvements includes both evolutionary change to upcoming aircraft (i.e. aircraft models already available or in the pipeline that are more efficient than most of the installed fleet) and next generation future aircraft types.
The modelling envisages that upcoming aircraft reduce emissions by between 15% and 25% over previous generation aircraft, and that future aircraft reduce emissions by between 30% and 50% compared to upcoming aircraft.
A hydrogen-powered single aisle aircraft, modelled to be introduced in 2035, would have zero carbon emissions.
